Business calculators for Sri Lankan SMEs and freelancers
Estimate invoice taxes, payroll cost, freelance rates, retail margin, and discount decisions using practical business inputs. Results are presented as working estimates so you can compare prices and costs before preparing formal records.
Tax and employment calculations can depend on registration, exemptions, liable turnover, contracts, and the nature of each payment. Review the assumptions on the relevant tool page.
Choose the right business calculator
- Add or extract VAT and SSCLEstimate an inclusive or exclusive invoice using editable tax rates.
- Estimate total payroll costCompare gross salary with employer EPF, ETF, and total cost to company.
- Set a sustainable freelance rateConvert an income target into hourly USD and LKR rates after non-billable time.
- Compare margin, markup, and discountsCheck selling price, gross profit, and the effect of a discount before quoting.
From estimate to business decision
Keep tax, cash flow, and profitability separate. A sale can have a healthy markup but still create a cash-flow problem after tax, payment delays, platform fees, returns, and overhead. Record the assumptions used in a calculation so the result can be reviewed later.
For statutory invoices or payroll, confirm the current treatment with the relevant authority or a qualified professional. HariTools does not replace accounting records, tax returns, employment contracts, or an IRD ruling.
